I won’t get tired of repeating it, February ended up becoming a fantastic month for video game lovers thanks to all the high-quality titles it left us. Atomic Heart, Hogwarts Legacy, Octopath Traveler II… all these works caused very good impressions among the press and the public.
However, we are already in March, and that means that a new wave of great games is coming that could become serious GOTY candidates (or not). Next I will review the ten launches that, from my point of view, are the most outstanding of the coming weeks. Let’s go there!
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty (PC, PS4, PS5, XBO, XBX|S) – March 3
We start with one of the heavyweights of March 2023, no more, no less. Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is the new of Team Ninja and it aims to be the video game that will perfect the fantastic action mechanics that we saw in the two installments of Nioh Do the Han Dynasty and the Three Kingdoms of China ring a bell? Well, this game will be set in an alternative version (of dark fantasy) of said historical period.
Project Zero: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse (PC, NSW, PS4, PS5, XBO, XBX|S) – March 9
It seems that the Project Zero saga is once again gaining some relevance in the West, since the successful premiere of Maiden of Black Water seems to have paved the way for Mask of the Lunar Eclipse, a Wii game that never made it out of Japan. Now comes your remastering for PC and consoles. Good terror is coming on Rogetsu Island.
Bleak Faith: Forsaken (PC) – March 10
first video game indie from the list. Bleak Faith: Forsaken It is one of those works that attract attention just by seeing a couple of images, since its artistic section is frankly spectacular. From Archangel Studios they want to offer a game that a priori might seem different soulslike but which manages to differentiate itself thanks to its elements of survival horror. This is a really disturbing game with a open world full of dangers.
Bayonetta Origins: Cherry and the Lost Demon (NSW) – March 17
PlatinumGames has decided to experiment with its most recognized saga. Bayonetta Origins: Cherry and the Lost Demon moves away from hack and slash and realistic aesthetics to offer a gameplay focused on the platforms and the puzzles and an artistic section of style “fairy tale”. Furthermore, it is a prequel of the other games.
Tchia (PS5, PS4, PC) – March 21
tchia It is another of those independent video games that attracts a lot of attention due to its visuals. In this colorful adventure we control a girl who embarks on a great adventure in a tropical archipelago inspired by New Caledonia. Jump, swim, navigate, glide, run from here to there and… Turn into animals? All this is possible in Awaceb’s promising game.
Have a Nice Death (PC, NSW) – March 22
We continue with another very cool indie. Have a Nice Death it’s a roguelite full of action and with some beautiful 2D graphics in which you take control of the cutest version of the grim reaper. Death is sick of his henchmen not doing his job well, so now it’s up to the boss to fix all his damage and put some order in the world.
Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key (PC, PS5, PS4) – March 24
The third installment in the Atelier Ryza saga was originally scheduled to release last month, but the developers felt it necessary to postpone their plans to offer the best possible version of this. JRPG. Good old Ryza returns once again (with more curves?) With another of her adventures full of alchemy, magic and friends.
Resident Evil 4 Remake (PC, PS5, XBX|S, PS4) – March 24
probably this is the most anticipated game by the vast majority of players. Capcom does not stop making us drool with each new trailer that is being released for this remake of resident evil 4and it is not for less, since the game looks great in almost all its aspects. Leon S. Kennedy will return to his old ways in a certain town in Spain.
Crime Boss: Rockay City (PC) – March 28
This title was one of the big surprises of The Game Awards 2022 gala. INGAME STUDIOS and 505 Games revealed that they were working on a Action-packed FPS set in the 80s…Which features some very hot movie stars! Vanilla Ice, Chuck Norris, Danny Trejo, Mickey Roorke and Danny Glover are some of the actors who will appear in this play. And did I mention that the game looks crazy?
The Last of Us: Part I (PC) – March 28
And to close the top we have a game that cannot be ignored for two reasons. The first is because it is the remake of one of the best video games of all timeandsIt already looks great on PS5, I don’t even want to imagine how it will work on PC. And the second is basically because it can hit a big hit in sales thanks to the success of the HBO series. This is the best time to be a fan of The Last of Us.
