Venezuela registered 17 new cases of covid-19 in the last 24 hours, all due to community transmission, and one deceased, reported the Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez.
Through his account on the social network Twitter, Rodríguez specified that the new cases community of covid-19 were located in the following states of the country: Zulia (7), Caracas (4), Miranda (3), La Guaira (1), Carabobo (1), Delta Amacuro (1).
The state that presented the highest number of covid-19 cases was Zulia with seven active infections in three municipalities: Maracaibo (5), San Francisco (1), Jesús Enrique Lossada (1).
“Unfortunately, in the last few hours, a 79-year-old man died from Covid-19 in Zulia state,” explained Vice President Delcy Rodríguez.
General Statistics
Venezuela currently registers 280 active cases of covid-19, of which 193 are people receiving supervised community care, 39 are in Comprehensive Diagnostic Centers, 30 in hospitals and 18 in private clinics.
With these figures, Vice President Delcy Rodríguez specified that 1,077 days after the pandemic was installed in the country, a total of 551,974 confirmed cases of covid-19 have been confirmed, 545,841 patients have recovered, representing 99% of the cases, and a total of 5,853 deceased.
Protection is everyone’s responsibility
Vice President Delcy Rodríguez recalled that protection against covid-19 is everyone’s responsibility, for which she urged to continue with biosecurity measures and reinforcing the vaccine.
