Venezuela registered two new cases of covid-19 in the last hours, both due to community transmission, reported the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez.
Through his account on the social network Twitter, Rodríguez explained that the two cases community of covid-19 were presented in: Aragua (1), Bolívar (1).
Vice President Delcy Rodríguez explained that the case of the Aragua state was located in the Mario Iragorry municipality (1); while the contagion of Bolívar occurred in the Caroní municipality (1).
“Unfortunately, yesterday #Feb 28, 1 84-year-old woman died from the virus (covid-19) in the state of Mérida,” the Vice President reported.

Currently, there are 254 active cases of covid-19, of which 173 receive supervised community care, 37 are in Comprehensive Diagnostic Centers (CDI), 27 in hospitals and 17 in private clinics.
With these figures and 1,080 days after the arrival of the coronavirus pandemic in Venezuela, there are 551,983 confirmed cases, 545,875 people recovered from the disease and 5,854 deaths.
They call to maintain biosecurity measures
As usual, Vice President Delcy Rodríguez reiterated the call to maintain care in the face of the virus.
“We reiterate the call of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, to maintain biosecurity measures and put on the anti-Covid-19 reinforcement. Special care and vaccination have been the main tools to deal with the variants of the virus,” Rodríguez stressed.
