Vatican CITY – A special greeting from Pope Francis to the children of the First Communion of Sant’Aurea in Ostia Antica. It happened at the end of the Sunday Angelus (read here), when, during the final greetings, he addressed the children of the coast present in the square: “Please don’t forget to pray for me“, the words of the Holy Father, who before taking his leave added: “Enjoy your lunch and see you soon!”.

The Italian Association of Organ Donors was also present in the square, celebrating the 50th anniversary of its foundation: “I thank you for your commitment to social solidarity and I urge you to continue promoting life through organ donation – said the Pope -. A special greeting, then, to all who have come on the occasion of Rare Disease Day, which will be the day after tomorrow: I renew my encouragement to the Associations of patients and family members; do not miss our closeness, especially to the children, to make them feel God’s love and tenderness“.
