ROME, FEBRUARY 22 – The IFPI, the organization that represents the recording industry in the world, has chosen Taylor Swift as the winner of the Global Recording Artist 2022 award: this is the third time for the American superstar, a record in the history of the award , which covers the entire body of work and is calculated based on worldwide performance during the year across digital and physical music formats, from streams to vinyl. Taylor Swift has previously been a regular on the IFPI Global Artist Chart, first in 2014 and 2019, second in 2021 behind BTS and Top 10 in 2015, 2017 and 2020. The release of her latest album Midnights in the October 2022 determined his return to the top of the chart.
