Tarquinia – On 5, 7 and 8 March, Women’s and Poetry Day returns to Tarquinia. The three-day event dedicated to the celebration of women through poetry is organized by the Tarquiniense Society of Art and History (Stas), with the sponsorship of the Ministry of Culture, and is curated by Professor Lilia Grazia Tiberi.
Now in its 25th edition, the event will take place every afternoon from 4.30 pm in the Sala Sacchetti, at number 4 in via dell’Archetto, and will have a special preview on March 4, at 5 pm, with the awarding of the literary competition “Spartaco Compagnucci” promoted by the Pro loco Tarquinia and by Stas, in memory of the Tarquinian dialect poet who had repeatedly participated in the initiative and dedicated many poems to the female world.
The exhibition will open on March 5 with “Lui per lei” and “Lei e lui”, which will see the woman who inspires the poets, to continue on March 7 with “Star of the past”, edited by Professor Tiberi, and conclude the ‘8 March with “Feminine Poetry”, the meeting with female poets linked to Tarquinia by birth or culture, and the presentation of the “Female Poetry” notebook. Each meeting, with free admission, will be enlivened by music, skits, improvisations. Poetess and poets will have the opportunity to present their compositions to the public.
