Tensei Oujo to Tensai Reijou no Mahou Kakumei – Chapter 8: The Magical Definition of the Monster and the Commoner
in the mansion of Anise, Lainie she is lost in her thoughts, coming to when she is called by ilia. However, her talk is interrupted when the alarm sounds that there is an intruder in the mansion. Ilia leads to Lainie to a safe place, however, an unknown fog forces them out into the courtyard, where they are attacked by the the prince Algard. after hurting iliahe the prince capture to Lainie and pierces his chest to remove his magicite.
Still at the conference, Anis is blocked by Moritz Chartreusethe son of Arcane Minister. Who reveals he was the one who requested the conference. But they are interrupted when Anise hears the alarm from his mansion, however, it is stopped by moritz, who makes the soldiers seal the place. Drawing attention and calling the princess crazy, she enrages Anise who uses the force of the dragon to free himself and the help of euphie to fly back to the mansion, while tilty he stays at the conference, using magic to immobilize those present.
Arriving at the mansion Anise and euphie come to ilia wound and Lainie on the verge of death, as well as witnessing how Algard he embeds himself magicite who stole from Lainie. While euphie deals with healing Ilia and trying to prevent her from Lainie die, Anise has an argument with his younger brother, realizing how their definition of magic is completely different, leading to a confrontation.

Social status
Like all Anime that involve a noble title, Tensei Oujo to Tensai Reijou no Mahou Kakumei touched on that “cliché point”. This is something that I think becomes essential in the plot in the vast majority of cases, as it gives the opportunity to add drama/tension to the story. at the beginning of Tensei Oujo to Tensai Reijou no Mahou Kakumeiwith the “sentence” to euphie, the prince took advantage of his higher social status to do so. Even without showing evidence, Algard he had the advantage because his social status allowed him because, being so young and inexperienced, those present would not go against the royal family.
Now in Tensei Oujo to Tensai Reijou no Mahou Kakumei – Chapter 8, Anise is held by moritz. This made me wonder, why in this case did no one present support her? Despite everything, she also belongs to the royal family and holds the title of princess, one above all present. Leaving aside that the guards obviously supported the Arcane Ministry, it didn’t seem like all the nobles present did as well. Even if the other nobles had less status than the son of the Arcane Minister“supporting” the royal family I consider was beneficial enough in that case.
Personally, this whole scene seemed pretty weak to me in terms of plot approach. While I can understand what I imagine they wanted to demonstrate, I feel that it lacked depth being in a position of different social statuses. Basically, the contribution of the “audience” I feel was essential for the scene.

For the same reason I will not deny it, this part irritated me a bit. For me it was a perfect opportunity to deepen the plot. Although I don’t know if this was something from the adaptation or the same thing happens in any of the sources.
The puppet that doesn’t realize it is
As already predicted, the villain of Tensei Oujo to Tensai Reijou no Mahou Kakumei was the Arcane Ministry. And of course, also the one Algard he was being used as a puppet. However, I accept that I was surprised to see the flashback of Lainie and Algard. After all, in this one it seemed to me that the character of Algard it was very well laid out.
Being forced to accept the position of heir all because his sister did not want the title, he began to see the world with his own eyes. Noticing how the nobles had more attention on the princess that she can’t use magic than on himself. the prince heir. Although he himself accepts not having any talent, I don’t think this is necessarily the fault of Anise.
As I supposed, he grew up under constant pressure and with a title he never wanted. He ended up caged in his own way, and at such a young age, he was the perfect subject to manipulate like a puppet. Although I consider that the character has a suitable background as well as a possible great future development, that does not mean that he is slow for important things. even his own pinocchio I knew it was apuppet“. By this I mean that at this point, Algard he thinks he has shaped his own personality and point of view about how the world works, but he doesn’t notice curious little details, like the fact that the Arcane Minister could have “visited” him despite the fact that he was under house arrest or that it was known Lainie had one magicite. Oh really Algard Did you think that information of that importance could be known by anyone and shared?

So far, the character of the the prince Algard I had seemed annoyed by the way he showed himself. However, I can’t deny that I felt the character had a lot to prove. And I’m glad to have seen how the background that forged the character was shown a little bit.
Honestly, the beginning saw a development in the character that would lead him to an evangelization, realizing his mistakes and losing his social status to become a complete commoner. Starting a new life and learning about the real world. However, at this point it seems to me that the character should die. And not because I find it annoying, but because I feel that the weight it carries in the plot would lead it to a fateful ending for a proper development. Both the story and the character.
By the way, the one Algard he would embed himself magicite in your body is another “tightrope” in Tensei Oujo to Tensai Reijou no Mahou Kakumei. tilty and Anise they had knowledge that could lead them to achieve it as they did but,Algard just buried it in his chest and absorbed it completely? That easy? Even though it was necessary for the tension of the moment, the fact that it has not left a single visible mark seems super strange to me for everything shown in previous episodes.
Overall I quite liked it Tensei Oujo to Tensai Reijou no Mahou Kakumei – Chapter 8 because of the pace he was carrying. Being a roller coaster of emotions for me. Generating tension at first with the assault on the mansion of Anise, all so that they cut it off at a good point. Something that really frustrated me, and that he continued to do with the scene of moritz. But he excited me again with the possible confrontation of Anise against Algard. And once again getting frustrated by leaving it for the next episode. So from the next chapter I expect a lot of action and not a battle that is decided in seconds. I would also love to see what happened with tilty and the Arcane Minister.
