During a special broadcast to commemorate the final episode of the light novel Anime adaptation Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute! (The Eminence in Shadow), by daisuke aizawaIt was announced that the series will have a second season by the studio nexus. No other information such as a star data was still disclosed.
The series will premiere on October 20 with a total of twenty episodes, regarding the platform HIDIVE took care of its distribution not occident.

Synopsis:
Great heroes and diabolical villains are the type of character that people want to be, but this is not the case of Cid Kagenou. He aspires to become the brain behind everything, pushing the cords and making his machinations to propel all of history. In his previous life in Japan he could not achieve his goals, but now, reborn in a world of magic, he will show him the true eminence of shadow! While Cid pretends to be just a pretentious character, he recruits members of his (fake) organization “Shadow Garden”, with the goal of bringing down a mysterious cult that spits out the shadows. His (fake) organization against the disgusting (but surprisingly real) Culto dos Diabolos.

An adaptation for Manga of Anri Sakano was published in the magazine Monthly Comp Ace since December 2018. A spin-off Manga written and illustrated by Mushroom U, entitled Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute!: Shadow Gaiden (The Eminence in Shadow: Shadow Side Story) is published by magazine Monthly Comp Ace since July 2019.
kazuya nakanishi (Darwin’s Game) is directing or Anime na NexusStudios (Darwin’s Game, Granbelm). Makoto Iino (Suppose a Kid From the Last Dungeon Boonies Moved to a Starter Town, Demon Lord, Retry!) He is responsible for designing two characters. Kanichi Katō (Black Clover, Those Snow White Notes) is responsible for writing and supervising the routers.
