The decision means the Anime has been banned in the country and cannot be legally sold, advertised or imported into Australia. Many fans found it confusing due to the lack of a motive, though not surprising as Australia is a very closed minded country.

The Anime resumed airing in March 2009, albeit heavily edited, following backlash from many fans.

In short, the entire franchise was banned for allegedly encouraging gambling and promoting Zionism, Christianity, and Freemasonry. Many of these reasons have been cited elsewhere as absurd. In addition, another of the reasons why it was supposedly banned in the country was the argument of evolution against creationism, which favored the latter.
Kinnikuman (France)
- the prequel to Ultimate Muscle is a wacky comedy about a superhero who fights against aliens, robots, and other entities in various wrestling competitions. Combining wrestling and superheroes, the stunts are often so outlandish that the Anime was banned in France. The reason is that one of the characters, Brocken Jr., had the trick of wearing a Nazi uniform. Although he wore the uniform, he did not ascribe or adhere to the same beliefs. However, this was reason enough to ban the series in France, and the character ended up disappearing from the products.
Voltes V (Philippines)
- An older Anime that was banned is Voltes Va story about a giant robot and a family fighting off alien invasions that premiered in 1978. A year later, the Anime was banned under a marital law of the former Philippine president. Ferdinand Marcos for having harmful effects on children. It was not rerun until Marcos’s removal in 1986, but the Anime returned in 1990. Despite efforts by congressmen to withdraw it, Voltes V it remained on the air until the 2010s.
To Kite (Norway)
- An Anime that was banned in Norway for violating laws on child sexual assault material is the OVA to kite, which consists of two parts. In short, the series introduces a young woman named Sawa under the tutelage of two detectives who trained her to be an assassin. What got it banned was a graphic sexual assault scene featuring said guardians and the aforementioned girl. This Anime focuses on the story of two people endowed with superhuman abilities and their different paths with their powers, where one becomes a hero and the other a villain. Other prohibited animes along with this one are Death Note, tokyo ghoul Y elfen lied. These series were banned in Russia due to the lack of age restrictions.
Shuumatsu no Valkyrie (India)
- A story about gods fighting each other is not new to fans of Anime or video games. However, some countries do not take very well to depictions of gods. An example of Anime banned in India for its theme and characters is Shuumatsu no Valkyrie. In a nutshell, the President of the Universal Society of Hinduism banned Anime and Manga for the way Shiva is portrayed, stating that the Anime trivializes the deity.
