Cross-Country World Ski Championships, Pellegrino-De Fabiani silver pair in the sprint

Planica – It has arrived there first medal for Italy in cross-country skiing to the World Championships in Planica.

The merit is of Federico Pellegrino and Francesco De Fabianiwhich they conquered a splendid silver in the free technique team sprint over the distance of 8.4 km.

The blue duo is made the protagonist of a masterful test and, at times, even gave the impression of being able to fight for the most precious metal.

The first place, however, went to the very strong Norway of Golberg and Klaebo, who finished with the total time of 17:28.14 (+2.48 against the Italians). Third place for France by Jay and Jouve (+16.48).

“In this race format we are the nation to beat for many teams – Pellegrino said at the end of the race –. Even today we made it trying to worry Norway, which seems unbeatable. I want to thank Francesco because he gave me change where he had to. The materials have been great, the snow conditions have changed. The legs turned really well, the work done is paying off. In this World Cup there is still the relay and a few races to demonstrate our value”, concluded the Aosta Valley.
